Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American chef television personality and ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde locks and a lively appearance, shares tips on how to prepare restaurant-style meals at home, using easy methods. Chef Burrell studied and worked in the best New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for food and cooking at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her following her graduation with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent my most memorable time in my life. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic opportunity to pursue a degree. After graduation, Burrell spent one year learning in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. While in Italy, she developed a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian food and culture. This will have a significant impact on how Burrell prepares her food. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children living with difficulties. She also serves as an Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. She talks about her culinary passion, and also shares her knowledge of the culinary world when she travels throughout the US in the roles of speakers and mentors. Anne has said throughout her culinary career she is incredibly fortunate to be able share with others what is truly important to her.
